How to Shop

Are you new to Little Fiber Co? Read on to learn how to shop our yarn!

We periodically offer new collections via preorders. Preorders can be composed of anywhere from 6-24 colorways and typically have an equal number of tonal and variegated colorways.

Our preorders usually launch 8pm EST and stay open for one week, or until we've reached our dyeing capacity. During preorder launches, we use Instagram to communicate immediate changes to the collection, so please follow us over there @littlefiberco if you haven't already! We post on our stories and feed when the collections launch and close, as well as other pertinent base and colorway information. We share all about each collection on Instagram in the weeks leading up the preorder launch.

We will always give you a warning before we close the preorder, so take your time shopping! If you prefer to plan your order ahead of time, please visit the Our Bases page to learn more about the different bases we offer. If we ever have a limited-quantity product and you want to place multiple orders, we will happily combine orders and refund shipping overages that exceed $5. 

We start dyeing preorders after the collection has closed, and we typically dye one colorway at a time. We also ship orders on a rolling basis, so orders with one or two colorways often ship faster than orders with multiple colorways. Due to this process, we are not able to prioritize orders by request. We will make sure you receive your order within the promised window and we appreciate your patience.

In-Stock yarn typically contains leftovers from preorder fulfillment or collection development, so we rarely have more than a few skeins available per base and colorway. We cannot guarantee that in-stock skeins will perfectly match skeins dyed in larger batches as part of Custom SQ or preorder fulfillment.

Since the hand-dyeing process is very experimental, we often have leftover skeins from the process of developing each collection. We call these 'OOAK (One of A Kind) Skeins.' These are skeins that are beautiful but didn't make the cut for a collection. We create coordinating mystery packs of 2, 3, or 4 OOAK skeins and periodically add them to our In-Stock yarn.

After a collection preorder closes, the collection colorways join our Custom Sweater Quantities listings. Custom Sweater Quantities have an order minimum of 3 skeins and may be ordered on any of our currently active bases. Custom Sweater Quantities ship within 4-6 weeks after we receive the order.

Our mystery club is the bread and butter of Little Fiber Co! 2024's theme is Cookware, inspired by the stunning saturated colors of a certain French cookware company.

Subscriptions for our 2024 Mystery Club open December 28 at 8pm EST and close December 30 at 8pm EST. Subscribers are charged monthly on the 1st of each month, and are given a discount on their monthly subscription.

Our club is available across all yarn bases, and this year we're also offering fiber subscriptions on 2oz and 4oz. Fiber content for fiber subscriptions will vary each month.

Since 2024's club is only tonals, the inspiration will be kept secret until the colorway is revealed in full at the end of each month. Any leftovers will be listed as in-stock on our website once the colorway has been revealed.

Subscriptions this year also come with an optional polymer clay stitch marker add-on from Hello Lavender! Stitch markers will be delivered with the monthly skein order and will coordinate with that month's color.
